Bianchi Specialissima

A new flagship

On the heels of their Infinito, an all-road focused all-rounder featured right here just three months ago, Bianchi is following up with a new flagship tarmac oriented all-arounder: the Specialissima.

Having undergone a complete redesign, Bianchi’s Reparto Corse has pushed the Specialissima further than ever before. They have evolved it to become their lightest bike to date. The Specialissima excels on the flat, conquers the steepest climbs, and gives unrivaled control on the fastest descents.

Building on the legacy of the previous model, the new Specialissima represents a systematic approach to speed. Biachi have recalibrated every component–from the frame to the handlebar–to maximize performance while retaining Bianchi’s Form to Function design language.

The Specialissima spec

  • Featherweight Frame: The ultra-premium RC frame is 40 grams lighter than the previous version, whilst maintaining the same level of stiffness, weighing in at just 750g (size 55).
  • Aerodynamic Fork: The revamped fork offers a 14% increase in aerodynamic efficiency.
  • Integrated Cockpit: The new integrated handlebar is 25% more aerodynamic and features naturally convergent shifter levers for more ergonomic and aero-efficient hand placement.
  • D-Shaped Seatpost: The new D-shaped carbon seatpost further enhances the bike’s overall aerodynamic profile.
  • Modern Geometry: Based on feedback from Team Bahrain Victorious, Bianchi has retained the same geometry as the previous model whilst optimising the reach and length of the handlebar for improved comfort in an aero position.

Key tech

Countervail Vibration-Cancelling Technology

True to Bianchi’s performance DNA, the new Specialissima ensures that speed does not come at the cost of control. The new Specialissima integrates Bianchi’s Countervail technology, achieving high vibration-damping capabilities without heavy mechanical damping systems. This tech delivers maximum comfort and control during high-speed, technical descents while maintaining the necessary stiffness for explosive sprints and accelerations.

Reparto Corse Wheelset

To achieve peak performance and robustness on varied terrain, the new ASTM 2 standard-compliant RC 49R carbon wheelset features a 49mm deep profile and a 25mm internal width. The wheels are optimized for wider tires offering added comfort with reduced rolling resistance.

Tailored for Excellence

The Specialissima is available in three tiers, each optimized for specific performance levels and engineered with Countervail technology:

  • Specialissima RC: The pinnacle of performance featuring a brand-new RC integrated handlebar, and RC 49R wheels with a chopped carbon finish – the choice of professional cyclists. Available with 2×12-speed SRAM Red AXS or Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset options, priced at €11,500.
  • Specialissima Pro: Designed for dedicated racers, this tier features an 850g frame with RC componentry. Available with 2×12-speed SRAM Force AXS or Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset options, priced at €7,700.
  • Specialissima: An exceptional entry into the elite world of Bianchi, offering pro-level geometry and performance. Available with 2×12-speed SRAM Rival AXS, Shimano Ultegra or 105 Di2 groupset options, starting from €5,200.

All three tiers are available in 47, 50, 53, 55, 57 and 59 frames. For full details and to find a Bianchi dealer, head over to bianchi.com.

Custom Colorways

There are also new Officina colorways available for riders seeking an ultra-premium aesthetic. Bianchi are offering the marquee Specialissima RC model in three totally new designs as part of the Officina Bianchi customization program, along with three existing colorways. This will provide exemplary, rarefied experiences for riders looking to add a flourish of individuality to their bikes.

Q36.5 Dottore Clima Range

For extreme heat and high-intensity summer riding

The Dottore Clima range represents the most advanced expression of Q36.5’s approach to extreme heat riding.

Engineered for temperatures above 25°C (77°F), it delivers the brand’s signature Dottore speed, stability, support and precision fit, while introducing a more aggressively ventilated, ultralight construction designed to optimise thermoregulation during high-intensity efforts.

For 2026, both the bib shorts and jersey have been reworked, pushing Q36.5’s expertise in high-density woven fabric construction to new limits, maximising airflow and cooling without sacrificing durability or structure.

Chuck sez: It’s not quite yet officially summer, but we’re already having summer weather here in the SC Lowcountry (including temps in the 90s F with triple digit heat index — often with not even a whiff of a breeze). So hot and humid. There’s no such thing as air conditioning riding a bike, but the Dottore Clima Jersey and Bib Shorts have done exceptionally well keeping me as “cool,” i.e., not overheated, as can be expected under those conditions. I could feel the venting/airflow and it wicks away sweat that I would otherwise be drowning in. If you’re riding in similar conditions, the Dottore Clima Jersey and Bib Shorts are ‘droids you should be looking for.

BTW, if you’re wondering what Q36.5 stands for: The brand’s very name comes from this mission: Q as in “quaerere” in Latin, meaning ”research,” and 36.5, the ideal temperature in °C of a healthy body.

Q36.5 Dottore Clima Jersey – $300

The Dottore Clima Jersey is Q36.5’s lightest ever jersey with graphene yarn for extreme heat. In particular, the new Dottore Clima jersey combines an optimised marriage of thermoregulation and aerodynamics first developed for Q36.5 Pro Cycling’s Vuelta bid, providing the versatility that defines Q36.5’s Dottore range to create a new ‘supercar’ racing jersey for riders who need to feel the difference this summer.

The details

Chuck sez: I really like this jersey on several levels:

  • The material is light and airy. Perforated throughout (including the sleeves) for venting/wicking. There’s no mistaking this for anything but a warm/hot weather jersey.
  • Speaking of sleeves, they’re ribbed for #aero.
  • White may get dirtier easier, but it’s the perfect color IMHO for riding in the full sun of summer heat.
  • The light gray “striping” on the front and back panels of the jersey give it a somewhat “classy” look IMHO and complement the ribbing on the sleeves to combine both aesthetics and function.
It’s a small detail, but I really appreciate that Q36.5 affixes its hang tags with a safety pin instead of a plastic fastener that you have to cut
Low/no race collar. The Q zipper pull is a nice touch.
Mandatory three rear jersey pockets (mesh material) plus a secure zipper pocket (with Q zipper pull)
Sleeves are perforated for cooling, raw cut for comfort, and ribbed for speed
It’s not a real jersey unless it’s full-zip

I have a previous season Q36.5 Clima Jersey in XS so that’s the size I went with for the 2026 version and it fit me (5’8″, 130 pounds, ectomorph) much the same. Which is to say, a close to the skin race fit but not uber tight or constricting. For me, that’s comfortable. YMMV.

Q36.5 specs 105 grams for a size M jersey

Q36.5 Dottore Clima Bib Shorts – $400

Newly re-engineered for Summer 2026, Q36.5 engineered the Dottore Clima bib shorts for maximum hot weather comfort. Constructed to offer the rider the same ergogenic and ultra-supportive fit as our Dottore Pro model, but with a lighter and more open structure across the bottom of leg and thighs and with a vented chamois design for ultimate thermoregulation and comfort in high summer.

Tried and true, don’t fix what’s broken Y-back bibs
The details

Chuck sez: This isn’t my first rodeo riding in Q36.5 bib shorts. I have a pair of Gregarius Pro Bib Shorts that are high end, race quality bibs. Per Q36.5, their different bib shorts have different recommended uses:

Like the Dottore Clima Jersey — the Dottore Clima Bib Shorts excel on several levels:

  • The fabric in the legs has a more open knit than traditional stretch fabric, making it ideal for hot weather.
  • Instead of using higher compression or silicone at the hem, the leg opening has a wide gripper section with a textured internal face that grips without squeezing.
  • The lumbar support panel at the back uses a ribbed material that feels like paper but isn’t rough against the skin. Q36.5 claims it provides additional compression to support the lumbar and gluteal muscles, improving stability and power output. I can feel the compression, but I can’t verify increased power output.
  • The Unique Pro Chamois, a unique 2-piece design, separates the pad into two parts that hug the groin and the saddle. Q 36.5 claims this creates a uniquely locked-in feel, ensuring perfect contact with the saddle regardless of position. I won’t go so far as to say it’s the most comfortable pad ever (in part because I’ve not ridden every pad there is), but I found its comfort level to be sublime. If it’s possible for it to be both firm and soft, that’s how I would describe it.

The Gravel Grey color that Q36.5 sent PEZ pair well with the white Clima jersey IMHO. The grey has a blue-ish hue in certain light, but it is subtle. If you prefer classic goes-with-everything black, Q36.5 has you covered.

Turned inside out, (1) the more open structure of the leg panel fabric and (2) the leg gripper are easier to discern
The material in the lumbar support section is ribbed, but not for aero purposes
Raw cut leg hems are comfortable and grippy
The most important part of any pair of bib shorts is the chamois aka pad. The black sections at the front and back are mesh air vents for cooling and moisture management.

On me (5’8″, 130 pounds, ectomorph) the Dottore Clima bib shorts provide a comfortable, form fitting race fit. The compression is on the firm side, but it feels “soft” so I didn’t notice it as much. Difficult to describe but kind of a “barely there” feel.

Q36.5 specs 173 grams for size M

Q36.5 Base Layer 0 Mesh Sleeveless – $80

When the heat and humidity is high and your rides are intense, the Q36.5 Cycling Base Layer Zero offers the supreme breathability, moisture management, and optimal weight to get you through every ride. The tubular seamless construction with an open mesh structure assists your body’s natural cooling mechanism by pushing the sweat away from the body where it can evaporate and cool you down.

Probably the most open mesh you’ll find in a base layer

Chuck sez: The first thing I noticed about the Base Layer Zero taking it out of the box was how small it looked. That’s because the material is super stretchy. The second thing I noticed is that the material is also super “open.” The result is a base layer with second skin fit that looks like a fishnet top.

Air flow is not to be worried about with the Base Layer Zero

PEZ readers know that I’m a base layer guy, even in hot weather. A good base layer will provide airflow for cooling and wick sweat away from your sking (which will also help you stay cooler). With its wide open mesh, the Q36.5 Base Layer Zero is all about that.

Maybe not as light as air (Q36.5 specs 51 grams for size M)

Q36.5 Clima 17 Socks – $28

The Q36.5 Clima 17 Socks combine incredible breathability with instep support to offer essential comfort and performance in hot summer conditions. The multi-structure weave allows for a lightweight yet supportive second skin feel to enhance power transfer.

Chuck sez: I won’t go so far as to say that they’re absolutely essential, but PEZ went Full Monty and got the Clima 17 Socks to be matchy-matchy. I know our dearly departed PEZ compadre Ed Hood would approve that I got them in white. But we’d probably quibble over sock height.

Without a doubt, the sheerest pair of cycling socks I own

As far as cycling socks go, the Clima 17 Socks were comfortable on my feet and in my cycling shoes. In terms of compression, they’re more towards the lighter side — which is to be expected given how sheer they are. Nonetheless, they provided enough grip such that I wasn’t worried about them slipping down.

I wonder what Ed would have to say? BTW, the shoes are a BONT Vaypor-Cycology collaboration.
Because I’m sure someone out there wants to know how much a pair of socks weighs. Q36.5 specs 19 grams for size M (what mine are).

Is Dottore Clima kit worth the price of admission?

There’s no getting around the fact the the Q36.5 Dottore Clima kit is expensive. And I’m not here to tell you how to spend your money. But if you want pro-level kit (ridden by the likes of Tom Pidcock and the Pinarello Q36.5 World Tour team), it’s the price of admission.

Cam Wurth (professional triathlete and former INEOS Grenadiers rider) and Tom Pidcock putting Q36.5 Dottore Clima kit to the test in Andorra

I’ll go back to what I said at the top:

There’s no such thing as air conditioning riding a bike, but the Dottore Clima Jersey and Bib Shorts have done exceptionally well keeping me as “cool,” i.e., not overheated, as can be expected under those conditions. I could feel the venting/airflow and it wicks away sweat that I would otherwise be drowning in.

I’ve had the good fortune to test a lot of different kit that’s intended for warmer/hotter weather. And all of it is good. I can’t say that the Q36.5 Dottore Clima kit is a quantum leap better than other kit (and I don’t have a way to measure/quantify any differences), but IMHO it’s #marginalgains better than my other hot weather kit. So if all my other kit is good, the Dottor Clima kit is at least very good

Whether the Q36.5 Dottore Clima kit is worth it is largely a function of whether you have the $$$ to spend. If you’re riding in truly hot and/or humid weather, my experience is that the Q36.5 Dottore Clima kit delivers. All I can say is that you could spend as much money on several sets of kit that wouldn’t be as good. I’ll leave it up to you to decide what the best value is.

Gradient Projects stealthmount: Out Front

The most elegant way to keep an eye on your bike

What you get: 1 – shims for 31.8mm and 25.7mm handlebars, 2 – out front mount, 3 – computer mount receiver aka puck (Garmin, Wahoo, or Hammerhead), 4 – blackout stickers you can affix to your AirTag or Moto Tag, and 5 – action camera mount (attaches to the underside of the out front mount)

The stealthmount line from Gradient Projects is the most elegant way to add lightweight tracking to your bike. Using custom-molded head unit receivers and an internal spring steel lock bar, you can clip an AirTag (iOS) or Moto Tag (Android) right into your head unit mount and hide it from prying eyes.

The Out Front mount uses a sleek CNC-machined aluminum arm to put your head unit front and center of your cockpit for easy visibility. The mount also ships with a “GoPro-style” mount to install either an action camera or a light below your computer.

Chuck sez:  If you were just looking at the Gradient Projects stealthmount on a bike, you’d think it was just another out front bike computer mount. But it’s more than that. The “stealth” in stealthmount is the ability to conceal an AirTag (iOS) or Moto Tag (Android) inside the mount providing a hidden layer of security/peace of mind. It’s both elegant and easy.

The stealthmount deets

Order your stealthmount with the appropriate receiver/puck (also available to purchase separately). Left to right: Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead.
If you want the action camera mount, you need to install it before inserting your AirTag or Moto Tag. It attaches via two 2mm hex head screws on the inside.
Top: receiver/puck, out front mount, Apple AirTag. Bottom left: Apple Airtag installation. Bottom right: Receiver/puck installed (twist-and-click) over the Apple AirTag. NOTE: You can affix the included blackout stickers to your AirTag or Moto Tag so it’s not visible through the openings in the stealthmount. Don’t forget to pair your AirTag or Moto Tag with your phone!

Installing the stealthmount on your handlebars is just like any other handlebar-mounted out front bicycle computer mount. Even if you are a dunce bike mechanic (not being judgmental!), you should be able to do it (in less than 10 minutes, if that). All you need is a 3mm hex wrench. Pretty easy peasy. Voila! (NOTE: If I have one niggle, it’s that the bolt attaches from the underside. I understand the aesthetics for doing this, but it makes installation just a tiny little bit more tedious. First world problem. Not a dealbreaker)

The hinged handlebar clamp opens wide to be able to install the appropriate size shims and attach the stealthmount to your handlebar
Instead of a generic rubber or plastic shim, the stealthmount shims are fitted in place via “pegs” that fit in specific “notches” on the clamp. Both functional and elegant.
stealthmount on my wife’s bike with her Wahoo BOLT 3

The stealthmount in practice

If for some reason you can’t remember where you left your bike (or worse … it goes missing on you), use the appropriate app on your phone (in my case the Find My app on my iPhone) to help locate/track its location. NOTE: Unless you are close enough, neither an Apple AirTag nor a Moto Tag connects directly to your phone. Both devices use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to transmit a unique signal to nearby Apple or Android smartphones that is anonymously and encryptedly relayed to either Apple or Google servers with location data.

Just to give y’all an idea of what tracking looks like, I had my wife take my Apple AirTag shopping

I can’t attest for a Moto Tag, but it’s important to know that an Apple AirTag isn’t a tracking device like you often see depicted in movies. Apple AirTags are highly accurate for close-range finding but have variable accuracy for long-distance tracking.

  • Close Range (Precision Finding): When within approximately 30 feet, AirTags use Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to provide centimeter-level accuracy, guiding users with directional arrows and haptic feedback. This feature requires an iPhone 11 or newer; older devices fall back to Bluetooth, which is less precise.
  • Long Distance (Find My Network): Without built-in GPS, AirTags rely on nearby Apple devices to report their location. Accuracy in this mode depends on the precision of the reporting iPhone’s GPS/WiFi, which can result in a search radius of up to half a mile or more.
  • Limitations: Accuracy degrades in remote areas with few Apple devices nearby, leading to stale or no location updates. Additionally, AirTags cannot determine altitude, making it difficult to pinpoint locations on different floors of a multi-story building.

Do you need a stealthmount?

That’s a question I can’t definitively answer. If bike theft is a big enough concern for you, first and foremost either (a) always keep your bike in your physical possession or (b) otherwise locked up with the most secure lock (or multiple locks) you can afford. Even then, there are no guarantees. I’ve heard horror stories of people who have had bikes stolen that are locked up inside a secure storage room inside a secure building.

Spot on spec weight for the mount with 31.8mm shims.

IMHO, the stealthmount isn’t a first line of defense but makes sense as an additional layer of security/peace of mind. It’s not going to prevent or deter a bike thief from stealing your bike (because said would-be thief wouldn’t know it’s there). But it takes advantage of modern tech to help you locate your bike in the event of misappropriation. Or if you’re someone who does a lot of airline travel with your bike, stealthmount could help you locate/track your bike if the airlines lose it (not that that would ever happen).

And while we’re on the subject of bike theft …

Zwift x Bravur

Keeping time

Bravur, the Swedish watchmaker born from cycling, and Zwift have collaborated on a limited edition of 100 individually numbered watches. They’ve loaded the timepiece with easter egg details that nod to cycling culture, each delivered in a brown vegetable-tanned leather cycling bag reminiscent of the monuments and tours of cycling’s greatest races.

The story

The story starts where most good stories do, with two groups of riders who refused to stop. Zwift’s CEO and Co-Founder Eric Min began cycling in New York City as a young rider and when deep into a career on Wall Street, found himself training indoors. Zwift was Min’s answer to bring back the spontaneous competition and camaraderie he found in Central Park no matter where or when any cyclist was riding. Bravur’s founders, Magnus and Johan, were racing against each other in Sweden in the 1990s. Competitors on the road, eventually collaborators in business, they brought industrial design backgrounds to a shared obsession with the sport. That foundation continues to shape Bravur today, with cycling serving as a design language.

When two companies built from the same starting point meet, a limited-edition watch is the natural outcome, with sharp design details and a liberal dose of fun.

The watch in detail

The Bravur x Zwift watch packs in more references per square millimeter than any Bravur has produced before, with a big dose of fun. The black dial compresses a Zwift session into 37mm of lacquer and sapphire, with easter egg details that reward the rider who knows what they’re looking at:

  • Zwift Logo. Positioned at 12 o’clock, anchoring the dial.
  • Feather Power-Up Index. Zwift’s feather icon, the in-game power-up that makes you lighter and faster uphill
  • Lightning Bolt. Signifying watts, because everything in cycling ultimately comes down to power output.
  • Lava Texture. The central dial surface is textured after Zwift’s volcanic lava world, framed by an outer, snailed hour track with applied indexes.
  • Lume Ring. The luminous ring around the dial centre references the glowing wheels of the iconic Zwift Concept Z1 Bike, earned after riding a cumulative 50,000m/150,000 ft. of elevation.
  • Orange Seconds Hand. The seconds hand runs in signature Zwift orange, making it the most animated element on the dial.
  • Ride On. Zwift’s thumbs up, the equivalent of a wave or a nod, used between riders and inscribed on the caseback alongside the Zwift pattern and each watch’s individual number.
  • Designed in Watopia. A small orange logo with an IYKYK reference to Zwift’s main riding world that will delight anyone who has ever raced through it.
  • Racing Track Minute Scale. Consistent with the Grand Tour series, the minute track references the finish line and the racing circuit through a castellated pattern on the rehaut.

Craftsmanship

Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case measures 37mm and features a screw-down crown, with a depth rating of 100 meters/10 ATM. A sapphire crystal protects the intricate dial, and the watch is powered by Sellita’s recently introduced Sellita SW200-2 automatic movement. Each watch is assembled in Båstad, Sweden, using the same approach as across the Bravur collection: Swiss movement, Swedish hands.

Hour indices at 3, 6, 9, and 12 are drawn from Zwift’s visual identity and filled with Super-LumiNova. The watch ships with two black and orange straps on an 18mm lug width.

Pricing & Availability

Pre-order opens 16 June 2026. Delivery begins June/July 2026. The watch is available in all markets via bravurwatches.com MSRP is 1,395€ inc. VAT | £1,0995 inc. VAT | $1,195 excl. tax.

These replicas, identical to the jerseys supplied to race leaders, give fans the opportunity to wear a piece of Tour de France history.

Santini complements the collection with exclusive capsule ranges inspired by iconic moments, legendary climbs and historic symbols of the Tour. The Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift collections embody in their design all the emotion, passion, and unique identity of the race. Every garment is the result of stylistic research, technical innovation and Italian craftsmanship, created to allow every rider—whether professional or amateurs —to experience the spirit and magic of the Tour de France.

Tour de France Collection

Barcelona (Grand Départ 2026)

This kit celebrates the spectacular Grand Départ in Barcelona. Inspired by Barcelona’s iconic Eixample district, the kit evokes modernity and visionary urban planning. The design interprets the iconic grid system created by Ildefons Cerdà, with its distinctive chamfered octagonal intersections. Clean, contemporary graphics transform the urban structure into a sense of movement and dynamism. A tribute to the progressive spirit of the Catalan capital.

Alpe d’Huez

This kit celebrates one of cycling’s most legendary climbs, featured in Stages 19 and 20 of the 2026 edition: Alpe d’Huez. The design is built around the mountain’s most recognisable symbol—its 21 hairpin bends. These bends form the central graphic element of the kit. The composition is enhanced by the climb’s elevation profile and a stylised mountain landscape positioned beneath the collar. Through a bold visual language, the kit conveys the challenge of the ascent, its epic history and the enduring appeal of the Tour’s great Alpine stages.

Montmartre

The Arrivée Montmartre line captures the essence of the Tour de France final stage through the artistic and bohemian soul of Montmartre. Inspired by the district’s deep connection with the arts, the kit evokes the expressive and painterly atmosphere that defined Paris between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Iconic elements such as the black cat—a clear reference to Le Chat Noir, the legendary meeting place of the Parisian avant-garde—and the windmill, symbol of the Moulin Rouge, feature prominently within the visual narrative. The result is a highly evocative jersey combines cycling, art and history in a design rich with cultural references.

Arrivée Paris-Champs-Élysées

Created in 2025 to celebrate 50 years of Tour de France finishes on the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe jersey pays tribute to one of Paris’s most iconic monuments. The Arc de Triomphe is the undisputed focal point of the graphics, reproduced in refined detail across every item in the collection.

Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift Collection

Grand Départ Suisse

The Grand Départ Suisse kit celebrates the opening of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift through a modern reinterpretation of the Swiss flag. The design plays with this visual identity, replacing the traditional colors with a palette inspired by Zwift and the Tour Femmes, creating a dynamic and contemporary aesthetic. On the back of the jersey, the profiles of the three Swiss stages transform the race route into a visual narrative, while the prominent “WATCH THE FEMMES” slogan highlights the energy, momentum and growing profile of the race.

Maillot Jaune Collection

Combo

The Combo kit pays tribute to the historic classement du combiné jersey, first introduced in 1968 and awarded until 1989 to the rider with the best combined performance across the Yellow, Polka Dot and Green Jersey classifications during the Tour. The solid red sections of the design reference another historic yet short-lived classification jersey, the points chauds jersey, introduced in 1984 and awarded to the rider who accumulated the most victories in intermediate sprints throughout the race.

Col du Tourmalet

The Col du Tourmalet line pays tribute to one of the most legendary climbs in Tour de France history, first tackled in 1910. Dedicated to Octave Lapize, the first rider to reach the summit of the Tourmalet during the Tour, this line celebrates a milestone that helped shape the mythology of professional cycling. Green, the defining color of the collection, reflects the mountainous and forested landscape surrounding the climb, expressing the wild, demanding nature and timeless character that have made the Tourmalet an enduring symbol of the Grande Boucle.

Mont Ventoux

The Mont Ventoux kit captures the dramatic beauty of the “Giant of Provence”. A symbol of strength and perseverance in the world of cycling, Mont Ventoux has inspired generations of riders with its unique and unforgiving landscape. The colors pay tribute to the natural beauty of the surrounding scenery, while a subtle detail referencing the telecommunications tower at the summit adds authenticity to the design and a direct connection to the mountain’s heritage.

Rouvy Clubs, Communities, and In-Ride Chat

Indoor training doesn’t have to be lonely

ROUVY has changed the way that riders share its expansive collection of real-world routes from around the world – by riding together. Thanks to the introduction of a suite of new Clubs, Communities, and In-Ride Chat features, users can now share their experiences with the wider ROUVY community.

From today, users can now share the experience of riding the world’s most iconic roads with others. Whether preparing for an IRONMAN on your chosen race route, exploring the climbs of the Grand Tours or tackling exotic locations on the other side of the world, you don’t have to be alone in the Pain Cave.

Ride indoors together

Indoor cycling is inherently a lonely experience, often spent grinding in the pain cave with little more than a fan and a heads-up display for company. ROUVY is changing that experience for its users thanks to shared interactions before, during and after your rides.

ROUVY’s extensive library of real-world routes, spanning every corner of the globe, allow riders to explore the world without leaving home. Until now, connecting with other riders was limited to the avatars sharing the route, without the possibility of interactions with the hundreds of thousands of other ROUVY riders along the way.

Thanks to the introduction of ROUVY’s new In-Ride Chat, Clubs and Communities features, users can now engage with other riders, both within their existing networks and from further afield.

Marek-Martin Matyska, VP of Product at ROUVY, sez: “Developing and fostering engagement between our community members is something that we’ve been working on for some time…with the new Chat, Clubs and Communities features, ROUVY users can now finally group and bond, which we believe will continue to motivate riders to keep going, riding further and harder, after all Cycling always was and will be a social activity and it was about time that we brought that major aspect to ROUVY!”

In-Ride Chat

ROUVY users can now engage in live discussions with other riders on their chosen routes thanks to the in-ride chat feature. Riders can join in the conversation using either the Companion App or within the AR App itself, with the option of turning the chat off when focus is required.

This helps alleviate the monotony of those long solo Zone 2 training rides, whilst also allowing riders to discuss the route and share inspiration for other rides to discover in ROUVY.

Clubs

Bring together and take on your friends or club mates in the new ROUVY Clubs feature. For riders who want to have a dedicated space for discussion, motivation and competition.

The new Clubs feature in ROUVY features a weekly leaderboard between members, as well as club chat and discussion feeds to drive interaction between riders.

ROUVY Clubs can be set up as open communities that anyone can join, or as private groups where members join by invitation — keeping things personal and close-knit. Each club holds up to 30 members, and can be discovered via the AR App, the Companion App or the Rider Portal.

Communities

Bringing riders together within official brand channels, event series discussions, common goals and many other shared topics, ROUVY’s new Communities offer a much broader level of engagement between users within the App.

Unlike the more intimate Clubs feel, ROUVY’s new Communities allow users to become a member of various groups featuring a communications feed related to the Community itself – whether riders preparing for their next IRONMAN discussing the race route in a dedicated community, or fans of Lidl-Trek and Visma | Lease-a-Bike connecting through official team communities and sharing group rides and events.

All Communities are open for anyone to join, and the discussion feeds can be set to either be open for all or curated posts only. Each Community will have an Owner, whilst others can be invited as Curators, with all Communities discoverable via the AR App, the Companion App or the Rider Portal.

ROUVY partners Lidl-Trek and Team Visma | Lease a Bike will be amongst the organizations creating Communities.

Get the new features

This new collection of community features follows the recent update of the ROUVY Companion App 2.0 during an exciting time of increased user engagement on the app. The recently revamped Companion App 2.0 allows users to track their outdoor activities alongside their indoor training, contributing to an overall fitness score. The result is a more complete approach to training, including plans which cover both indoor and outdoor riding.

New users can register for a free 7-day trial to experience ROUVY in full, before selecting between either monthly or yearly plans, with single, duo and group options available.
